Several images · combined into a GIF in your browser, never uploaded

Combine images into an animated GIF. Runs entirely in your browser — your images are never uploaded.

Quick answer

To make an animated GIF, add several images, put them in the order you want, set the frame delay (speed) and output size, and the tool encodes them into a looping GIF you can preview and download. Everything runs in your browser, so your images are never uploaded. A shorter delay means a faster animation; a longer delay slows it down.

Formula & method

Each image is drawn onto a canvas at the chosen output size, then its colors are reduced to a 256-color palette (the GIF format's limit) and written as one frame with your chosen delay. The frames are assembled into a single looping GIF file. Because GIF supports only 256 colors per frame, photographic images are approximated, which is normal for the format.

Examples

Example 1: Simple slideshow
Input
3 photos, 500 ms delay
Result
A looping GIF, 2 fps
Why
Each image shows for half a second before the next.
Example 2: Fast animation
Input
10 frames, 80 ms delay
Result
A smooth ~12 fps GIF
Why
Short delays make motion look fluid.
Example 3: Resized output
Input
Max size 320 px
Result
A smaller GIF file
Why
Limiting the size keeps the file shareable.

When to use this tool

  • Turning a burst of photos or screenshots into a quick animation.
  • Making a simple looping graphic for chat or social media.
  • Building a slideshow GIF without installing software.

Common mistakes

  • Adding a single image — a GIF needs at least two frames to animate.
  • Using huge source images, which makes a very large GIF; cap the output size.
  • Expecting photo-perfect color — GIF is limited to 256 colors per frame.

Frequently asked questions

How many images can I use?

As many as you like, though more frames and larger sizes make a bigger file. Two frames is the minimum to animate.

How do I control the speed?

Set the frame delay in milliseconds. A smaller delay plays faster (higher fps); a larger delay plays slower.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The GIF is encoded in your browser, so your images stay on your device.

Why do the colors look a bit off?

GIF supports only 256 colors per frame, so the palette is approximated. That's a limitation of the format, not the tool.

Can I reorder the frames?

Yes. Use the up/down controls on each image to set the exact order before creating the GIF.

Does the GIF loop?

Yes, the exported GIF loops continuously by default.
